David James Willis, aged 85, passed away peacefully on the 2nd of November 2024. Eldest son to Don and Jane, brother of John and Julius.
A true gentleman with great enthusiasm, he lead an illustrious life, filled with achievements and memorable occasions. A very loved and loving husband of Shakila Willis, and formerly Andrea Willis, father of Haig, Duncan and Samantha. Grandad of Harwood, Francesca, Georgina and Benedict.
A private cremation was held on the 12th of December 2024 at Mortlake Crematorium, London. Followed by a celebration of his life with family and close friends at Linden House, London, on the 18th of January 2025.
David had a long career in aviation spanning 6 decades, including the Royal Air Force, the Sultan of Oman’s Air Force and civilian airlines.
He wished that there be no mourning and that his life be celebrated at a wake at which a jazz band performs.
